Dark key lighting and textural precision
I've been obsessing over the paper texture detail in this shot from Dior Beauty (@diorbeauty) by Francis Kurkdjian (@franciskurkdjian_official). You can see every fiber. What really gets me is how Dior uses a darker key here, building volume almost entirely through these delicate, carefully placed highlights instead of traditional modeling. The color has this incredible depth and richness that pulls you in.
The contrast between the soft fabric and cold glass is perfectly executed. Two completely different surface qualities that complement rather than compete. It's restrained work that lets the product speak without overworking the lighting.
